  • 1 pound lean ground turkey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 1 (7-ounce) can diced green chiles
  • 1 (15-ounce) can kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 (15-ounce) can black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1-2 tbsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp brown sugar

Instructions

  • In a large pot, cook the ground turkey over medium heat until browned.
  • Add minced garlic and diced onions; cook until softened.
  • Stir in tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, and green chiles.
  • Add drained kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and brown sugar. Mix well.
  • Simmer the chili for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
  • Serve hot with sour cream, shredded cheese, and sliced green onions as desired.

Notes
