Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup hot honey
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for baking

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease.
  2. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Coat each piece of chicken in flour, then egg, and finally the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring an even coating.
  4. Place chicken on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the top for crispiness.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until chicken is golden brown and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. While baking, combine hot honey and melted butter in a small bowl.
  7. Brush the hot honey mixture over the baked chicken and return to the oven for 2-3 minutes.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the hot honey glaze to your preferred sweetness or heat level.
  • For extra crispiness, use an air fryer at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes.
  • Perfect when served with coleslaw or mashed potatoes.
