  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (8 oz)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups cooked egg noodles
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onions and garlic, sauté until soft.
  • Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, combine sour cream with cooked noodles.
  • In a greased casserole dish, layer half the noodle mixture, followed by the beef mixture.
  • Repeat layers and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley, if desired.
