Celebrate the holiday season with festive Christmas M&M cookies! These soft, buttery cookies are loaded with colorful red and green M&Ms, making them a perfect treat for Christmas parties, gifting, or family baking traditions.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups Christmas M&Ms

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in Christmas M&Ms, reserving a few for topping.
  7. Scoop dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheets.
  8. Press reserved M&Ms on top of each cookie.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use festive red and green M&Ms for a holiday touch.
  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes if you want thicker cookies.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
