Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 salmon fillets

  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 8 oz fettuccine or pasta of choice

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • ½ cup reserved pasta water

  • Chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Season salmon with Cajun seasoning.

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook salmon for 4-5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water.

  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.

  • Add cream, Parmesan, salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir until smooth.

  • Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Add reserved pasta water to thin the sauce if needed.

  • Flake salmon into chunks and add to pasta.

  • Garnish with parsley and serve hot.

Notes

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for best results.

  • Adjust Cajun spice level to taste.

  • Can substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
