  • 1 cup vodka
  • 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and red chili flakes; cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in vodka and let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until reduced by half.
  5. Stir in the crushed tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Lower the heat and mix in the heavy cream, stirring until fully combined.
  7. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. Sprinkle parmesan on top.
