This crispy cheddar chicken recipe is a delicious, cheesy, and crunchy dish that’s easy to make and perfect for a hearty family dinner.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 sleeve Ritz crackers (crushed)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pound chicken breasts to an even thickness.
  • Set up a dredging station with three bowls: milk in the first, shredded cheddar in the second, and crushed crackers mixed with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.
  • Dip each chicken breast into milk, coat in cheddar, then press into the cracker mixture.
  • Place coated chicken in a greased baking dish. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and crispy.
  • Serve warm with your favorite side dishes.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan to the cracker mixture.
  • Use chicken tenders for smaller portions.
  • Ensure the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before serving.
