This easy beef teriyaki recipe features tender beef slices coated in a rich, savory-sweet homemade teriyaki sauce. Ready in just 30 minutes, it's the perfect meal for busy nights. Serve it over rice or noodles for a restaurant-quality dish at home!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp mirin (optional)
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sesame seeds & green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, mirin, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  • Toss sliced beef with cornstarch until evenly coated.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add beef and cook until browned.
  • Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well.
  • Mix water with cornstarch and add to the pan. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  • Serve over rice or noodles and enjoy!

  • Use flank or sirloin steak for best results.
