Ingredients

  • 2 lb bag of frozen hash browns
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can of cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup of sour cream
  • 1 stick of unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Topping

  • 1 stick of butter, melted
  • 2 cups of cornflakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, and grated cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and cornflakes for the topping.
  • Spread the cornflake mixture evenly over the hash brown mixture.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the potatoes are cooked through.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.
