  • 8 oz mozzarella or cheddar cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • Cut cheese into bite-sized cubes and freeze for 30 minutes.
  • Set up a breading station: flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a third.
  • Coat each cheese cube in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. Repeat for a double coating.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
  • Fry cheese bites in batches for 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  • Remove and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite dip.
