  • 1 pound ground lamb or beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups mixed frozen vegetables, defrosted
  • 10 ounces tomato soup or mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon basil
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups prepared mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook ground lamb or beef over medium heat until browned.
  • Add diced onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened.
  • Stir in defrosted mixed vegetables, tomato or mushroom soup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, basil, and black pepper.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish, spreading evenly.
  • Top with prepared mashed potatoes, smoothing out with a spatula.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top, if using.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until top is golden and bubbly.
