Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

  • 4 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

  • 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • 1/4 cup water

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Optional: sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water. Set aside.

  • Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

  • Add remaining oil to the pan. Sauté garlic and ginger for 1 minute.

  • Add broccoli and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.

  • Return chicken to the pan, pour sauce over, and stir well to coat. Cook for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens.

  • Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

  • You can substitute chicken with tofu or shrimp.

  • For extra heat, add red pepper flakes or sriracha.

  • Serve over brown rice, quinoa, or cauliflower rice for a complete meal.
