Ingredients

  • ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda

  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chocolate ganache
  • ½ cup crushed chocolate cookies

 

  • ½ cup chocolate shavings

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla; mix until well combined.
  • Stir in boiling water (batter will be thin).
  • Divide batter evenly between pans and bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Let cakes cool completely before frosting with ganache.
  • Layer the cake with chocolate ganache and top with chocolate chips, crushed cookies, and chocolate shavings.
