Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 chai tea bags (or 2 tsp loose-leaf chai)

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup pitted cherries (fresh or frozen)

  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)

  • 1 cup cold water or ice

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)

  • Lemon slices or mint (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.

  2. Add chai tea bags and cherries. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat. Let it steep for another 3–5 minutes.

  4. Strain the mixture and discard solids.

  5. Stir in honey (if using) and vanilla extract.

  6. Let it cool, then pour over ice and top with cold water.

  7. Garnish with lemon slices or mint if desired.

  8. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness to taste.

  • You can blend the cherries for a richer cherry flavor before straining.

  • Works well with green chai or decaf chai too.
