  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder (or to taste)
  • ½ cup sour cream

  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  • Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  • Add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until tender.
  • Stir in the garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard.
  • Add the condensed cream of mushroom soup and beef broth, mixing well.
  • Simmer for about 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  • Stir in the sour cream and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Serve the beef mixture over the cooked egg noodles.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, substitute the fat-free condensed cream of mushroom soup with regular or homemade cream of mushroom soup.
  • You can use ground turkey or chicken as a leaner alternative to ground beef.
