Soft-baked M&M cookies are the ultimate treat, featuring a chewy texture, buttery flavor, and bursts of colorful M&M candies in every bite. These cookies are simple to make and perfect for parties or as a fun dessert any time.

  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/4 cups M&M candies

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Cream together butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix into the wet ingredients.
  • Gently fold in M&M candies, reserving some for topping.
  • Scoop dough onto a baking sheet, pressing a few extra M&Ms on top of each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Let cool on the sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For a softer texture, slightly underbake the cookies and let them set while cooling. Store in an airtight container to keep them fresh for several days.
