This Toasted Italian Sandwich recipe is packed with salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone cheese, and veggies, all toasted to golden perfection. It’s an easy and hearty sandwich perfect for lunch or dinner!

Ingredients

  • 1 Italian sub roll or hoagie roll
  • 3 slices salami
  • 3 slices ham
  • 3 slices pepperoni
  • 2 slices provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 tbsp banana peppers
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp Italian dressing
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Butter (for toasting)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the Italian roll in half and spread mayonnaise on the inside of the bread.
  • Layer the bottom half of the roll with salami, ham, pepperoni, and provolone cheese.
  • Place the sandwich on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Remove from the oven and top with lettuce, tomato, banana peppers, and a drizzle of Italian dressing. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning for extra flavor.
  • Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll, slice, and serve warm!

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add roasted red peppers or olives.
  • Swap provolone for mozzarella or Swiss cheese if preferred.
  • Serve with chips, fries, or a pickle on the side.
