Savor the ultimate Cheesesteak Tortellini in a rich provolone sauce—an indulgent pasta recipe combining tender tortellini, savory steak, and creamy melted provolone for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb tortellini (cheese-filled)
  • 1 lb thinly sliced steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced steak and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté onions, peppers, and garlic until softened.
  4. Add heavy cream and beef broth to the skillet. Simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Stir in shredded provolone cheese until fully melted and the sauce thickens.
  6. Return the cooked steak and tortellini to the skillet. Toss everything together until well coated.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute ribeye with ground beef or chicken for variation.
  • Add mushrooms for extra flavor and texture.
  • Use a mix of provolone and mozzarella for a creamier sauce.
